Do the appearance of diarrhea 5 and 20 hours after taking the contraceptive pill Zoely could have affected its effectiveness?

Good morning I have been taking zoely for 5 years, this month at the 7 blister pill after 5 hours and 20 I had a bout of diarrhea and I took another pill but after half an hour I had another bout of diarrhea so I took another pill from a spare blister after which I had no more discharges. Is the pill absorbed having had no more discharges? Am I covered by contraception?

In the described situation, there was no contraceptive protection disorder, you took an additional pill unnecessarily. Diarrhoea is the passing of liquid or semi-liquid stool at least 3 times a day. Contraceptive protection could be impaired if diarrhoea occurs (passing at least 3 stools of liquid or semi-liquid consistency) within 3-4 hours of taking the pill. In your case, the (semi-)liquid stool was passed only after 5 hours, and the next one only after 20 hours.

Take the next tablets as usual, every day, at the agreed time.

Here you can check the availability of the drug and make a reservation at a Polish pharmacy:
