The concomitant use of sulfasalazine with Mel (containing meloxicam) may increase the risk of developing or worsening already existing side effects of sulfasalazine, m.in. in the kidneys. It is not recommended to use both drugs at the same time, especially in people with kidney problems. If you need to use additional painkillers, I recommend consulting a doctor who, while taking into account full information about your health and the course of the disease, will select the appropriate preparation and recommend the appropriate procedure to monitor your health.
