Yes, spotting can occur even for several weeks from the moment the IUD is inserted. You may also see more heavy menstrual bleeding. If the symptoms continue to intensify after a month, it is worth consulting a gynecologist. The Nova T 380 IUD should not be used in women who struggle with very heavy menstruation leading to anemia.
