In this situation, it is important for the doctor to tailor the treatment to your individual needs, taking into account both the anxiety symptoms and the health condition associated with the pituitary adenoma.

If you have concerns about the therapy recommended and its potential impact on your health, I strongly recommend that you consult with your doctor. It is also worth considering alternative methods that may be more suitable for your condition.

Yes, in the case of adenoma, I have dostinex prescribed which I am taking, but due to severe fears, the psychiatrist, although I informed her about my condition, recommended nexpram and claimed that you can combine this drug with dostinex and betanil for dizziness. Now I have nothing to use to calm down, since neither nexpram nor depressanum is recommended.

In case of hyperprolactinemia caused by pituitary adenoma, the use of Nexpram (escitalopram) is not recommended.

SSRIs can increase prolactin levels, which is undesirable in this situation. Pharmacological treatment with dopaminergic drugs such as bromocriptine or cabergoline is recommended, which effectively lower prolactin levels. It is worth consulting a doctor to determine the safest and most effective therapeutic strategy.

A psychiatrist prescribed me nexpram, I read that this preparation also increases serotonin. And he does not want to use drugs of this type too much

The Depressanum dietary supplement contains, m.in, inositol, L-tryptophan, saffron flower extract, vitamin B6 and folic acid. Inositol and vitamin B6 contained in the preparation can have a positive effect on the regulation of prolactin concentration in the body. In the case of folic acid, there are no reports on its effect on prolactin levels, and a similar situation applies to saffron. L-tryptophan, in turn, is a precursor of serotonin, which can increase the concentration of prolactin in the body. It is difficult to predict the impact of taking this supplement on your health, especially due to the lack of clinical trials confirming its safety and effectiveness. In this situation, it would be best to consult a doctor who, having full information about your health, test results and the course of the disease, will be able to advise the appropriate, safer preparation in your case.
