Hello, due to a bacterial infection of the vagina, I am currently taking the antibiotic Dalacin in the form of a vaginal cream. I am 39 weeks pregnant and in a week I have a scheduled Cc appointment. Can I take the oral probiotic Lacibios Femina now while taking an antibiotic or can it interfere with the planned Cc treatment? Does it have to be weaned somehow before surgery?

There is no need to stop taking the probiotic Lacibios Femina before a planned caesarean section, and its use during antibiotic therapy may be beneficial. Oral probiotics typically have no effect on surgical procedures such as cesarean sections. If you have any doubts, it is best to consult the doctor who is managing your pregnancy.
