Can I reduce my dose of Betaloc ZOK? Can Betaloc ZOK and Telmizek be combined?
20.00 zł

Hello. The doctor increased my dose of Betaloc Zok from 50 to 100. In addition, I also take Telmizek 40 mg. ( Spontaneous hypertension and recently detected bundle block)
Since then I have a low heart rate of 50 .60 ... rarely 70.The pressure of 95/65, 104/68 has also dropped significantly.... does not exceed 110 / 70. I have an appointment in 3 weeks. The cardiologist also did not give me a phone number. Can these drugs be taken at the same time? Can I reduce the dose to 75 mg of Betaloc?

Betaloc ZOK (metoprolol) and Telmizek (telmisartan) are often used together to treat high blood pressure and other cardiovascular conditions. Betaloc ZOK slows down the heart rate and lowers blood pressure, and Telmizek lowers blood pressure by supporting the hypotensive effect of Betaloc.

A decrease in heart rate to 50-60 beats per minute and a significant decrease in blood pressure (below 100/70 mmHg) may indicate that the effect of the medication is too strong and dose modification may be necessary. However, you should not do it on your own and discuss any changes in the dosage of the drug with your attending physician (perhaps such a significant reduction in blood pressure and heart rate was a desirable effect in your case?). You should find the contact number of the clinic/doctor on your prescription. Your doctor may decide if your dose of Betaloc ZOK can be reduced or if other modifications to your treatment are needed, such as changing medicines. We do not have information about your health condition to assess whether reducing the dose of the drug will be a safe and optimal solution for you.

Until you see your doctor, it's important to monitor both your blood pressure and heart rate regularly. The results obtained should be presented to the doctor.
