I have been diagnosed with gastric erosions. For about 5 months I have been taking betahistine (betanil24mg) 1/2 tab. 2x a day. Today the dizziness intensified so the doctor recommended me 24mg 2x a day. I took the drug at 10 a.m. and now my stomach started to hurt a lot, my stomach is heartburn and I feel bad. I don't know if the culprit is a drug or a meal that was hard to digest (spaghetti). Will gaviscon and gastritol help?

Heartburn caused by the drug may go away after some time as the body gets used to the dose of the drug. If this does not happen and it is troublesome and intensified - it is worth considering reducing the dose or changing the drug to another one, after consulting a doctor.
If the drug is the culprit, is it necessary to reduce the dose or postpone the drug? Or will these symptoms simply pass?

Heartburn is possible because betahistine affects the digestive system, which can lead to irritation of the stomach mucosa. In general, spaghetti is not an easily digestible food, so it could also cause stomach pain, it is difficult to determine a clear cause. Gaviscon should help you, you can also try Famogast or No-spa, which will have a diastolic effect.
