Limetic is a single-component contraceptive pill that is safer for patients suffering from migraine headaches than classic combined pills, which contain estrogens. There is also a lower risk of thrombotic episodes, which pose a risk to patients with a history of migraines. However, if you observe an intensification of the symptoms, it will be necessary to discontinue the medication and discuss other options of protection with your gynaecologist (e.g. a hormone-free coil).
