You did not write what specific drug you are talking about. I'm guessing you're talking about Evra patches - if so, please read on.
If the Evra patch has even partially detached for more than one day (24 hours or more), or if you have not noticed when the patch has come off, you may not be protected against pregnancy. According to the manufacturer's recommendations, you should stop the current cycle of use of the patches and start a new cycle of use without delay by applying a new Evra patch. A new "Day 1" and a new "Patch Change Day" are thus established. At the same time, please remember to use a non-hormonal method of contraception (e.g. a condom) for the first 7 days of the new cycle.
