Hi again, what do you think about this dietary supplement from Swanson? I mean mainly Melatonin, GABE and L-tryptophan...? Are these supplements that can be used to treat insomnia or depression...? Is it a good idea to combine them, for example, with prescription medications for sleep or depression, or not to combine them, wait after taking supplements, for example, an hour or two and then take, for example, Ketrel? Best regards

Swanson dietary supplements are well known to consumers, have been on the market for a long time (the company has been on the market since 1969) and offer a wide range of good quality products. Swanson strives to maintain high production standards - it is GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certified. These are regulations establishing a standard for the manufacture, methods and premises used in the process of manufacturing, packaging, control and storage of medicinal, cosmetic and food products in order to ensure that the products are of the appropriate quality level in accordance with their intended use.
However, please remember that supplements do not cure or prevent disease. Their use is aimed at supplementing the daily diet and preventing vitamin deficiencies. Supplements such as Melatonin or L-tryptophan can be used together with prescription drugs, but with a time interval of at least 2-3 hours. However, in the first place, please use the medications prescribed by your specialist (e.g. SSRI or Ketrel) and only then "add" dietary supplements, with a time interval from the medications prescribed by the specialist.
