If Nizoral and Pirolam do not have the expected results, you can try other alternatives. An effective anti-dandruff shampoo may (in addition to cyclopyroxolamine or ketoconazole) contain:
1. piroctone olamine (e.g. Ducray Kelual DS, Mediket Plus) with antifungal properties - eliminating the cause of dandruff.

2. selenium sulphide (e.g. Capitis Duo) or tar (e.g. Exo Tar, Paraderm Plus), which inhibit the excessive multiplication of epidermal cells, thus reducing the number of the so-called "scales".

The healing effect of anti-dandruff shampoos appears after 3-4 weeks of use, and after curing, it is worth using them prophylactically from time to time.
