Can I reduce the dosage of the drug Dafuragif it turns out that my child's weight is different?
9.99 zł

The doctor prescribed 3×5ml of DaFurag for my daughter, my daughter is 3 years old and weighs 20kg. During the conversation I said that she weighs 22 kg, but at home I weighed the baby and it turned out that she weighed 20.I gave her 2×5ml and now I'm wondering whether to give 5 or 3.5 ?or maybe skip the dose and start tomorrow morning from the beginning with a dose of 3.5ml?. I will be grateful for a quick response

Dafurag is a prescription medicine, so any changes in the dosage of the medicine should be consulted with the doctor who prescribed it. According to the Darufag documents, a child weighing 20 kg can take a total of 14 ml per day, so the appropriate dose could be 4.5 ml 3 times a day. So it was possible to reduce the last dose to 3.5 ml, since the child had already taken 10 ml. If the dose is missed, you can start dosing 4.5 ml 3 times a day from the next day, but it is worth consulting your pediatrician.
