Mestinon is a preparation obtained with a prescription, which, based on the patient's health condition and indication, determines the appropriate, safe dose for him. The maximum dose may vary from patient to patient.

Symptoms of overdose include abdominal cramps, increased peristalsis, diarrhoea, nausea and vomiting, increased secretion of bronchial mucus and saliva, bronchospasm, excessive sweating, pupil constriction, muscle spasms and tremors, general weakness up to muscle paralysis, which may cause apnoea and, in extremely severe cases, cerebral hypoxia. In the course of overdose, the heart rate may slow down until it stops and arterial hypotension up to cardiovascular collapse.

If such symptoms occur while using the drug, you should immediately see a specialist who will implement appropriate treatment.

Alcohol consumption during treatment with the preparation may potentially increase the side effects of the drug.
