Why should I not use Bupropion for people who abuse alcohol?

I was prescribed bupropion. It is clear to me that you cannot combine drugs with alcohol, but in the leaflet it is written that with this drug alcohol consumption also works backwards, i.e. if someone has drunk large amounts of alcohol, they cannot take the drug, why? And after how long of abstinence can you start taking the drug?

Information contained in the summary of product characteristics:
"Although there are no clinical data on the pharmacokinetic interaction between bupropion and alcohol, there have been few reports of adverse psychiatric symptoms or reduced tolerance to alcohol among patients who drink alcohol during treatment with bupropion. Alcohol consumption should be avoided or minimised during treatment with Bupropion Neuraxpharm."
The above excerpt deals with the effect of Bupropion on reducing the body's ability to metabolize alcohol. To sum up: smaller amounts of alcohol cause intoxication and other side effects (hangover, headache, etc.). In addition, both alcohol and bupropion can lower the seizure threshold and, when combined, cause an epileptic seizure. For this reason, caution should be exercised in the use of the drug in people suffering from alcoholism, as long-term alcohol abuse usually causes permanent neurological disorders, including an increased risk of epileptic seizures. Episodic consumption of larger amounts of alcohol in the past should not be a contraindication to starting the treatment (if no epileptic seizures have been found by the way).
