Garcinia cambogia affects the level of serotonin in our body and should not be used together with SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) such as Setaloft.

The literature indicates that chromium may also increase serotonin levels, which may increase the effect of Setaloft and should not be used together.

The combined use of the preparations increases the risk of developing health-threatening serotonin syndrome manifested by, m.in others, impaired consciousness, tachycardia, vomiting and diarrhoea.
