The decision to give Pulmicort to a child with a wet cough should be taken after consulting a doctor.
Pulmicort is used in patients with bronchial asthma who require long-term glucocorticoid administration to control the inflammatory process in the respiratory system, as well as in patients with croup syndrome, i.e. acute inflammation of the larynx, trachea and bronchi associated with significant narrowing of the upper respiratory tract, dyspnoea or "barking" cough leading to respiratory disorders, and in the treatment of exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), where the use of budesonide nebuliser suspension is warranted.
The dose and method of use of the medicine will be determined by the doctor based on the patient's condition.
If you are unable to visit us in person, I encourage you to use the teleconsultation, e.g. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:

The duration of the infection also indicates the need for consultation.
