Did my doctor prescribe me a good dosage of the drug Encorton?

A dermatologist prescribed encorton for a severe drug allergy at a dose of 30 mg for 7 days. Then 20 mg on the 8th day, 10 mg on the 9th and 5 mg on the 10th day and that's it. I want to make sure it's a good dosage.

Your doctor will prescribe Encorton on the basis of m.in. diagnosis and severity of symptoms. According to one of the dosages described in the leaflet, the drug for adults is administered at a dose of 5 to 60 mg per day as a single dose or even up to 250 mg in divided doses. This means that the doctor selects the dose individually for each patient.

The drug should be discontinued gradually, which the doctor has carefully prescribed.

If you are unsure about the recommended dosage, consult your doctor again. If you are not able to visit in person, I encourage you to use the teleconsultation, e.g. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:
