If I apply a new contraceptive patch within 24 hours, will it be safe?

Good evening the last patch came off tonight after a swim in the sea, I should have removed it on Saturday, but I didn't have any other patches with me to be able to replace it immediately if I apply it tomorrow within 24h something happens?

If your contraceptive patch has come off and you have not been able to replace it immediately, it is important to put on a new patch within 24 hours of the moment. In this case, if you put on a new patch tomorrow, it should not affect the contraceptive effectiveness. The new patch should be changed on the next day of the patch change (the patch will be worn for a shorter period of time and the patch change schedule will be maintained). Remember to continue using the patches according to the established schedule.

If the patch has not been used for more than 24 hours, the contraceptive effectiveness is reduced and there is a risk of pregnancy. If you have had intercourse during this time and there is no withdrawal bleeding during the 7-day break, you should take a home pregnancy test, which you can buy at the pharmacy.
