Can a Cavinton tablet be divided and dissolved in water?
Hello. The doctor prescribed cavinton 5mg to his son (4 years old), more precisely 1/4 of this tablet. Can this pill be divided and dissolved in water before administration because my son does not want to swallow it.

If your doctor has recommended 1/4 of the tablet, it can be divided, but it is best to use a special tool for this purpose, such as a tablet guillotine, to ensure an even division. According to the manufacturer's information, "the parting line on the tablet is not intended to break the tablet". If your child has difficulty swallowing, Cavinton tablets can be safely dissolved in water.
