I am a 24-year-old woman, after consulting the results of the tests, a dermatologist prescribed me the drug Alopexy for hair loss, I have been using it for a month now, despite doubts after what I read in the leaflet and on the web that as a woman I should not use it. I don't know whether to continue using it or stop it?I don't want to go bald

According to the summary of product characteristics, Alopexy is not approved for use in women. However, other preparations with the same active ingredient - minoxidil at the same concentration of 5% - have such registration, which is why the treatment of women with this drug is taken into account in clinical practice.
The dosage is selected individually, i.e. less often than recommended by the manufacturer, depending on the severity of the balding process and medical indications. Side effects in the form of excessive hair growth rarely occur with the right dosage, but they should always be taken into account.
