Good afternoon, my dose of Wegovy is 0.5. The handle also says 0.5. Tell me, please, does this pen with the inscription 0.5 contain a monthly dose of the drug at 0.5? (that is, it actually contains 2 ml in total).. Or does it have only 0.5 in total, that is, it can be used only once and there will be no medicine left in it after this one use? Thank you very much

The answer was about the Wegovy FlexTouch pen. The pens in Wegovy are single-dose and single-use.

Wegovy 0.5 mg is available in pre-filled pens that contain 4 doses of 0.5 mg each, i.e. the pens are reusable. The total volume of solution in one pen is 2 ml, which means that each dose is 0.5 mg semaglutide in 0.5 ml solution. One pen is sufficient for 4 weeks of therapy, assuming that the patient uses a dose of 0.5 mg every week.
