How should Metronidazole be dosed if treating intimate infection?
9.99 zł

Hello, I was prescribed clindavag for a slight bacterial vaginosis and additionally, just in case, oral metronidazole 3x1 (250 mg). I thought I was supposed to take one pill every day for 3 days, but judging by the package with 20 pills and the leaflet, I think I misunderstood something. Should I take metronidazole 3x1 for a week? Thank you in advance for your answer

Dosing 3 times a day with 1 tablet is prescribed for some bacterial vaginal infections. The duration of the treatment is usually 5-7 days. Treatment should also be undertaken by the partner if there is a risk of exposure to sexually transmitted infection. If you are not sure how to take the drug, I encourage you to consult a gynecologist. During the treatment with metronidazole (and up to 48 hours after its completion) it is forbidden to consume alcoholic beverages.

On our website you can check the availability of the drug and make a reservation at the pharmacy:

In case of any doubts, I encourage you to use the teleconsultation with a gynaecologist - the service is available on our website in the e-visit tab:
