Is the recommended dose of the drug Vinpoven Is it suitable for a child?

The doctor prescribed Vinpoven to a 3.5-year-old boy with autism and lack of speech. 1 tab per day. I'm a little scared, because the leaflet is not recommended for children. Is this dose safe for the child?

According to the manufacturer's recommendations, Vinpoven should not be used in children. It happens that a doctor, based on clinical practice, recommends drugs outside the manufacturer's indications - this is the so-called "off-label" use, i.e. off-label. In this case, it is your doctor who determines the right dose for you and should inform you of the possible risks and expected benefits of this treatment.
