Can breast and abdominal pain occur when using Drovelis tablets?

I have been using the drovelis contraceptive pill for 4 months, despite the bad reviews about this drug, I gave it a chance. I have regular periods every month, but when I use the pills, I am accompanied by various disturbing symptoms. Right after the end of my period, before ovulation, my breasts start to hurt, they are swollen and tender, I have bloating and my stomach swells. Has anyone had it too?

There is no ovulation when using hormonal contraception. The mechanism of action of the pills is to inhibit the release of specific hormones responsible for the release of the egg (in a nutshell). Lack of an egg in the female genital tract = no possibility of fertilization = no possibility of pregnancy. These symptoms are often observed by women using birth control pills and may result from changes in hormone levels in the body. If your symptoms worsen, I encourage you to seek advice from a gynecologist. Not all women tolerate every contraceptive well.

In case of any doubts, I encourage you to use the teleconsultation with a gynaecologist - the service is available on our website in the e-visit tab:
