Hello, I would like to ask if the Liberella contraceptive pills can be taken with mineral water with a pH of 7.5? Can you have an impact on the effectiveness of the pills?

To @Kasia:
Short-term sipping of medications with water with a pH of 7.5 is safer than taking them without sipping them. Water with this pH should not significantly affect the effectiveness of most medications during the week.
It is crucial to wash down the medication with a full glass of water (200-250 ml), which will ensure proper dissolution and absorption of the active substance. Taking medication without drinking can lead to incomplete absorption and potential irritation of the esophagus.
I'm currently on vacation abroad and unfortunately I couldn't find water with a lower pH in stores. In such a situation, can drinking medication for a week with such water affect them? Is it better to take medication without drinking it?

According to currently available knowledge, alkaline water does not affect the effectiveness of contraception. However, it should not be taken directly with any medication.
It is best to wash down the tablets with plain boiled water or mineral water, still water. Alkaline water is not a good choice in this case.
Here you can check the availability of the medicine and make a reservation:
