Can Primolut Nor, prescribed for premenstrual spotting, affect test results when trying to get pregnant?

I was described this drug for suspected change in progesterone as I have pre menstrual spotting. I am also actively looking for a pregnancy. Could this drug interfere with research?

Primolut Nor may not be the optimal choice for your situation. This drug can disrupt the natural menstrual cycle and mask the symptoms of a possible pregnancy, which is undesirable when actively trying to conceive. In addition, it can affect the results of hormonal tests, especially progesterone levels.

I encourage you to consult with your treating doctor again to discuss alternative treatments for premenstrual spotting that will not interfere with your procreation plans.
