After changing patches to tablets, is it possible to Axia Conti - should I protect myself extra for some time?

Hello, today I got the Evra contraceptive patch (the first one from the package) so I took the first Axia Conti pill from the package because I wanted to switch to pills. Do I need additional security?

The transition from birth control patches to birth control pills requires some care to maintain continuity of protection against pregnancy. If the contraceptive patch has come off and you immediately started taking Axia Conti pills, you should continue taking them at the same time each day.

In addition, it is recommended to use an additional method of contraception for the first 7 days after switching from the patch to the pill, especially if the patch has been removed for more than 24 hours. Using condoms for the first 7 days after changing your contraceptive method will also give you the psychological comfort that in the event of reduced effectiveness of hormonal contraception as a result of changing the patches to pills - you are protected anyway.
