In this situation, if the contraceptive patch was not properly applied and partially detached, the effectiveness of contraception may have been reduced. The spotting and period symptoms that appeared on Saturday may be the result of a hormonal imbalance caused by patch problems.
Continue to use the patches as scheduled, and use an additional method of contraception, such as a condom, for the next 7 days.
