Ciprotic is a preparation used to treat ear infections that contains an antibiotic (ciprofloxacin) and an anti-inflammatory substance (dexamethasone). Ciprotic is typically used for bacterial infections of the outer ear (otitis externa) and sometimes to treat otitis media, especially if it is accompanied by inflammation.

If you have a blocked ear, the best option is to see a doctor to get the right diagnosis and treatment. Ciprotic may be effective in treating bacterial ear infections, but it is not a solution to all the causes of a clogged ear.
