Ciprotic is a medicine used to treat infections of the outer ear, containing ciprofloxacin (an antibiotic from the fluoroquinolone group) and fluocinolone (a corticosteroid).
Because Ciprotic is used topically to treat ear infections, the risk of systemic phototoxicity is lower than when ciprofloxacin is taken orally. However, direct exposure to the sun should be avoided while using the drug and appropriate UV protection measures should be used.
