Zafrilla is the trade name for a contraceptive containing the active substances drospirenone and ethinylestradiol. For Zafrilla to be effective, it is important to follow the dosage recommendations. The tablets should be taken at the same time each day for 21 days, followed by a 7-day interval, during which withdrawal bleeding usually occurs. Then the cycle starts again. With proper use, pregnancy while taking the drug is very unlikely.
