Cortiment MMX should calm inflammation within the intestine, i.e. ultimately inhibit the occurrence of bleeding, and not exacerbate the symptoms of ulcerative colitis. The drug may start working after a few days, but if the problem persists or intensifies, a doctor's check-up is recommended.
