Can I have a colonoscopy a week after the end of the treatment with Pylera?

Hello, I have finished the Pylera treatment and after a week I should have a colonoscopy. Can I do it? Or wait and change the date?. Thank you

In this situation, it is best to consult the change of date with the doctor ordering the test.

After treatment with Pylera, it is recommended to wait 4-8 weeks before performing follow-up tests. Although colonoscopy concerns the large intestine, not the stomach, where Pylera works, due to the effect of antibiotics on the intestinal flora, I suggest postponing the examination by 3-4 weeks. This will allow the body to regenerate and obtain more reliable results.
