What over-the-counter remedies can I use for severe palpitations, anxiety, and anxiety when Asentra and other prescription medications are causing me these symptoms?

Good morning, I have been taking asentra 25mg for 5 days. I have strong palpitations, a tightness in my throat, great anxiety, and apnea. The doctor suggested that I stop taking the drug. This is my 4th drug that causes such conditions. I'll ask for suggestions on what else I can take to alleviate my condition. Maybe something over-the-counter so that they are not so strong

Thank you for sharing your experience. I understand your concerns about the symptoms after starting Asestra therapy. These symptoms may be temporary, but require consultation with the attending physician. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend a specific drug or suggest a change in therapy, based on such a short description.

The effects of Asentry (sertraline) are usually not immediate and take time to fully develop. The first effects of the drug may be noticeable after about 2 weeks of regular use, so discontinuing the drug after 5 days is pointless. The full therapeutic effect of Asentry is usually achieved after 4-6 weeks. The time it takes to achieve full therapeutic effects may vary depending on the severity of symptoms, starting dose, comorbidities and other medications taken.

Through the gdziepolek.pl website, you can check the availability of Asentra, book it at the pharmacy of your choice and pick it up after presenting a prescription:

Frequent change of antidepressants (such as Asentra) is not recommended and may be disadvantageous to the patient. Any antidepressant takes time to take full effect. Too frequent drug changes do not allow for a proper assessment of the effectiveness of a given preparation. Your doctor will need enough time to assess whether the medicine is working properly and whether the dose is appropriate. Any such change should take place under strict medical supervision and requires gradual discontinuation of one drug while introducing the other. Frequent drug changes can also lead to destabilization of the patient's condition and drug resistance. In the future, they can also make it difficult to achieve mental balance.

Treatment of difficulties in the area of psychological functioning only with pharmacological agents carries the risk of intensification of symptoms after discontinuation of medication and or shortly thereafter. If you have not started psychotherapy (apart from taking medication), I encourage you to make an appointment for a consultation with an appropriate specialist. If you are unable to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:
