How do I proceed if I have taken a portion of Xifaxin after 4 hours instead of eight?
I took the second dose of xifaxin 200 after 4 hours instead of 8. When can I take another portion¿ at the previously planned time (i.e. after another 4 hours) or after 8 hours (i.e. change the set times: 6.00-14.00-22.00). I took the medicine at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

If you make a mistake in the dosage of Xifaxan, it is best to switch the dosing schedule to the new times, keeping the 8-hour interval between doses.
If you took the second dose at 6:00 p.m., the next dose should be taken after 8 hours, i.e. at 2:00 a.m. Then you should continue taking the drug every 8 hours, setting a new schedule: 2:00, 10:00, 18:00.
It is important not to take the next dose too early, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
