Does Slinda help with endometriosis against pain during sexual intercourse?
Hello,
I was prescribed the pill Slinda today because of endometriosis. Due to endometriosis, I have very severe pain during sexual intercourse, especially when penetrating. Does the pill also help the pain to subside there?
Thanks for all the lovely answers in advance. :)

Slinda has the potential to help relieve pain during sexual intercourse associated with endometriosis, though this is not the main indication.
Slinda contains drospirenone, which is a progestogen. Hormonal drugs, including progestogens, are often used to treat endometriosis. They work by inhibiting ovarian function and reducing estrogen production, which can lead to the disappearance of endometriosis foci and relief of pain symptoms.
It's important to note that endometriosis treatment often requires a comprehensive approach, combining hormone therapy with other methods, such as pain medication or even surgery for more severe cases.
