My gynecologist prescribed Lanzetto and Femina as hormone preparations during menopause. Is it really advisable to take both medications together? 2 capsules and two strokes daily.

It is important to strictly follow the recommendations of your gynecologist, as the combination and dosage of hormonal drugs should be selected individually. As a pharmacist, I can only give general guidelines on the use of the following preparations:
The combination of estrogen (Lenzetto) with progestin (Femina) is a common practice in hormone replacement therapy. This is called combined hormone replacement therapy.
Lenzetto is a transdermal spray with estradiol used in hormone replacement therapy in postmenopausal women. It is usually sprayed on the skin of the forearm or thigh once a day. Femina is a progestogen formulation often used in combination with estrogens such as Lenzetto to reduce the risk of endometrial hyperplasia.
The mentioned dosage (2 capsules of Femina and 2 doses of Lenzetto per day) is within the usual recommendations for use. The dose of Lenzetto may vary from one to three doses per day, depending on the severity of your symptoms.
However, it should be emphasized that the optimal dosage and combination of hormonal drugs depends on various individual factors, such as specific symptoms, medical history and possible risk factors. The gynaecologist took these factors into account when prescribing this particular combination of drugs.
If you still have any doubts, it is always a good idea to consult your doctor, who can provide more personalized advice. If you are not able to make a face-to-face visit, I attach a link to the online teleconsultation:
