The doctor recommended the use of Preato on an ad hoc basis in a 15-year-old child, does this drug have a chance to work, since the leaflet says that it should be used continuously?

The doctor prescribed a child (15 years old with anxiety disorders) to take Preato 75 mg in case of anxiety.
However, I'm not sure if this drug will work temporarily, since according to the leaflet you should take it for some time, and it starts working from 2-4 weeks.

According to the Package Leaflet and Summary of Product Characteristics Preato, this medicine should be used continuously according to the dosage prescribed by your doctor. However, the doctor, based on his knowledge, clinical experience and full information about your child's health, may recommend a different dosage than that contained in the leaflet.

If you have concerns about your treatment, it is best to contact your doctor and raise your concerns.
