Vitreolent is used when vitreous opacities occur.
The preparation is used in the case of opacities caused by hypertension, age, diabetes, perivascular lesions, as well as in the case of lens opacity as the first symptom of senile cataracts.
The active substance of the preparation is potassium iodide and sodium iodide. Studies have shown that these compounds have oxidation-reduction properties, thanks to which they can delay lens opacity and deterioration of visual acuity.
Depending on the patient, the indication and their health condition, the response to treatment may vary.
