Can a change in mood to depressive occur when using Ranofren 5 mg?

Mood changes, including depressive symptoms, may occur as a side effect of Ranofren (olanzapine). However, a short-term mood swing lasting 3 days does not necessarily mean a relapse.

Ranofren can cause mood changes, including depressed mood or lack of mood. This is a known side effect of this drug. Each patient may react differently to the drug, even if they have tolerated it well before. A change in response to the drug after prolonged use is possible.

The fact that the depressive symptoms lasted only 3 days suggests that it may be a temporary reaction rather than a relapse. The absence of similar symptoms for 2 years after changing the drug is a positive factor, but it does not exclude the possibility of new side effects.
