Tropicamid does not contain nightshade (Atropa belladonna).
Tropicamid is a synthetic drug used in ophthalmology to dilate the pupils. Although its effects are similar to those of the alkaloids found in nightshade, such as atropine or scopolamine, tropicamid itself is not extracted from this plant.
It is worth noting that Tropicamide, as a synthetic drug, has a more predictable and controlled effect than natural screaming alkaloids. It is specially formulated for ophthalmic use and does not carry the risks associated with the use of the raw plant extract.
