The prescribed Zentel treatment regimen is appropriate and in accordance with the recommendations for the treatment of pinworm in children. Such a treatment regimen is aimed at eliminating both adult parasites and their eggs, which can survive the first treatment.
Zentel contains the active ingredient albendazole, which has an antiparasitic effect, fighting pinworms and their eggs and larvae. The drug prevents the parasites from absorbing sugars, which leads to their death. Zentel is a safe and well-tolerated medicine when used as prescribed by a doctor.
It is worth remembering that effective treatment of pinworm requires not only the administration of medicine, but also compliance with hygiene rules, such as frequent hand washing, regular change of underwear and bedding, and avoiding scratching the anal area.
