Is it normal that after taking Zafrilla for a month and a half, I have spotting, dryness and itching of the vagina?
I have been taking zafrilla for a month and a half, since I have been taking it I have noticed the following side effects:
-Spotting
- vaginal discomfort and dryness
- intimate itching
I went for a gynecological examination and my doctor did not notice anything abnormal.
But vaginal discomfort causes me a lot of discomfort. I don't have any leaks and strange smells, is this normal?

Spotting, vaginal dryness and itching can be side effects of using Zafrilla (i.e. hormonal contraception). These symptoms are quite common and can occur especially at the beginning of using this type of preparation.
They usually disappear after 2-3 months, when the body gets used to the new hormone levels. If the symptoms are very bothersome or long-lasting, it is a good idea to consult a gynaecologist to make sure that there are no other causes of these complaints and to discuss the possibility of changing the method of contraception.
