Is it possible to cure Helicobacter pylori infection in a different way than Pylera?

After 3 days I stopped the pyrel treatment. I couldn't cope, there were chills, vomiting, diarrhea and a terrible headache. Is it possible to cure hp in a different way? Has anyone had a similar experience and what to do next?

If you notice side effects with Pylera, you should report them to your doctor, who will decide on what to do next.
Treatment with Heliobacter pylori should lead to the complete removal of bacteria from the gastric mucosa, and the entire treatment should last 14 days.

The first-line treatment regimen is quadruple therapy with bismuth. It involves taking PPIs, bismuth citrate and two antibiotics, most commonly metronidazole, tetracycline or amoxicycline.

There are also other treatment regimens, which you can read more about here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/leki-na-helicobacter-pylori

Reporting to the doctor the side effects that occurred while using the drug will help the specialist choose an alternative therapy.

We write about why adverse drug reactions should be reported here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane

If you are unable to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja
