Although bruises usually disappear within about two weeks, in some cases they can last longer, up to a month. In the situation after surgery, the healing process may be prolonged. The surgery and the presence of wires may have caused more damage to the blood vessels, leading to longer bruising.
Altacet ointment can help reduce swelling and inflammation, but it is not the only solution. Pharmacy ointments and gels can also be used to speed up the healing of bruises. Bruises should be lubricated with products containing substances that affect:
