Cardiac glycosides, such as strophanthin, should be used with caution in case of chronic use of Concor 5, as they may increase atrioventricular conduction time and slow down heart rate. Strophanthin may further lower blood pressure, increasing the risk of excessive lowering of blood pressure. When using it, it is all the more important to take care to measure blood pressure regularly and note the results in a diary. If you experience symptoms of low blood pressure, e.g. a feeling of weakness, fainting, dizziness, you should stop using strophanthin and consult a doctor immediately. I recommend discussing the issue of regular use of strophanthin with your attending physician, who, based on full information about your health, the course of the disease and the medications used, will assess the benefits of including it in the therapy and, if necessary, adjust the doses of the medications used, based on the results of the measurements recorded in the diary.
