Should I apply 2 globules? Vilantrin at once?
9.99 zł

Hello. I have a question because for a bacterial infection of the vagina, the doctor prescribed me vilantrin globules and recommended inserting two globules at once at night. When buying a drug at a pharmacy, the pharmacist indicated a dosage of 1 tablet once a day. I am now in a dilemma how to take this drug, and I have no way to contact my doctor. Is it acceptable to take 2 globules at the same time?

In my opinion, it would be more reasonable to use the drug in accordance with what is written in the SmPC, i.e. vaginally 1 globule (500 mg) per night for 10 days. The effect of the substance contained in the globule is also based on whether it is properly applied in the genital tract. By inserting 2 globules at once, you can lead to a situation in which one of the globules is not applied deep enough, and inserting them at once may cause you discomfort. I believe that the dosage of the drug after 1 globule for 10 days will be appropriate and will ensure the achievement of the expected effect in the form of a cure.
