Hello, is the 2 hour delay in administering the antibiotic important? I gave the first dose to the baby at 7:30 p.m. and then I should have given it 7:30 a.m., but after a hard night we overslept and I gave it 9:30 a.m. Will anything happen? What hours should the treatment be continued?

Usually, it is a good idea to take the antibiotic at fixed times, because an equal interval between doses guarantees the proper effect of the drug. A one-time delay of 2 hours will not interfere with the effectiveness of the treatment. Subsequent doses should be administered every 12 hours, if possible and the evening dose of the antibiotic does not fall too late. Half an hour difference is acceptable.
On our website, you can check the availability of the drug and make a reservation at the pharmacy. In case of any doubts, I encourage you to use the teleconsultation in the e-visit tab:

Do these spacing have to be equal? Is it conventional and 1 hour or half an hour doesn't make a difference?
