If I started using Zoely Day 3 of the cycle - am I fully protected right away?
Good morning. I started the zoely birth control pill yesterday, on the third day of my cycle as my gynecologist had told me.
However, I have a doubt.
Since I didn't start on the first day of my period, but on the third, is coverage already guaranteed or do I have to use a barrier contraceptive for the first month?

If the start of the preparation did not take place on the 1st day of the cycle (1st day of bleeding), an additional method of contraception, e.g. a condom, should be used for 7 days after the start of the drug. After 7 days, you are fully protected. At the same time, remember to use the drug every day, at the same time, without skipping.
