Tecfidera very often causes abdominal pain, so it is recommended to take the drug with a meal to reduce the occurrence of side effects. The meal should be hearty and quite fatty - then the drug is better tolerated. Meat products, dairy products, eggs, olive oil, avocado - i.e. high-fat products - work well. You should plan your dietary schedule so that you can eat two such meals a day. The minimum interval between doses is 6 hours, although it would be good to extend the interval between tablets a bit. Alcohol can cause an increase in gastrointestinal side effects (due to an increase in the rate of dissolution of the drug), so an interval (preferably several hours) should be maintained between a tablet and, for example, a glass of wine.
